Born in Haiti, Ivan Dorvil winner of Food Network’s chopped, first went to study electrical engineering at the Miami Dade College. As most people knows, Haitians are good in cooking. Ivan also went to Le Cordon Bleu, after he graduated, he started to work at Tap Tap restaurant, Tantra and Nuvo Kafe just to name a few. Having the knowledge mixed with passion, Ivan opens his own restaurant in North Miami, FL that he called Ivan’s Cookhouse where he creates different types of menus inspired by his Haitian root.
Now Ivan’s cookhouse has an open
mic session to showcase artists while promoting his Caribbean food with hospitality.
